"This building was made by a group of scholars, headed by James Noah, it was built before the Dængelon war. Then again... many people of power knew the true nature of the Dængelon before the war. In fact most of the Stone Heart Guild knew that Angels and demons were two halve of a whole long before the war. Of course it would be a bad thing if the public knew this (they were profiteering)." Milo said as he admired the mural.

"So this place really was made by humans." mused Lust. "Wait, if they didn't want the public to know what they thought, then why place a great big mural depicting just that right in the entrance where everyone can see it?"

"if the place was made for the public, why would it be in the middle of a desert? It took me a while to find the location of this place, I suspect there would have been guards of some sort, before the war". Her skin lightened, her hair returned to mahogany red, and here eyes to a deep green.

"She has a point." replied Samuel suddenly.
Lust turned her head toward Samuel with a surprised look on her face. She didn't think he was paying attention. "Why are you taking her side?" she asked.
"I wasn't aware you two were arguing."
Lust just turned away. not wanting to admit that she lost the argument.
Samuel stepped back from the mural and, having accepted defeat, turned to look at Milo. "Hey, Milo! can you make out what the tattoos on the angel and demon say?"

Milo squinted his eyes a little "The demon's says Curiosity, and the angel's says knowledge." he said. He moved towards the center of the room which had what appeared to be a lift. It was hooked into a pulley system. "This lift must be what leads to the lower levels..." Milo felt a shiver go up his back "... what was that?"
a feeling that something else is there surrounds the group.

Instinct took over as Samuel turned around, looking for that which he had been trained to see. Spirits.
Lust prepared for whatever came her way. If she could see it, she could fight it. "Please tell me that i wasn't the only one who felt that just now."

Samuel only:he sees spectral creatures that look barely human. They are circling the members of the group. They are blanks, a fairly week spirit but there is a fair number of them.

Rosaline shivers "see anything Samuel?" she looks around the room nervously.

Samuel saw a total of 7 Blanks that were close to the party, there were several others wandering aimlessly in the near distance that were not aware of the group yet.

"how many do you see?" Asked Lust as she did her best not to panic. She never could handle spirits or anything that she couldn't see very well.
"There are seven around us and a few more that haven't noticed us yet." Answered Samuel as he drew his sword before adopting the Nebenhut stance.

Milo glanced around he could feel the invisible spirits more past him but he tried to ignore them as he could do nothing to effect them. He continued on to look around the entrance hall.

Rosaline shivered and looked to Samual, she was hoping he could clear the spirits.

Samuel suddenly charges toward the closest Blank, attempting to cut it horizontally through the middle.

Samual's blade tears through the loose form of the blank, the blank is cut into two by the blade and fades away like fog in the sun.
With the last wisps of the blank fading, samuel turns and slashes at the next closest one, planning to work his way toward the others.
The Blank is extinguished by Samuel's blade, it too fades into nothing.
Milo shivers, and begins to examine the lift mechanism in the middle of the room.
"what's wrong, Milo?" shouts Samuel as he tries to cleave the next blank up the middle as he works his way over to him.
"nothing" milo returns, "just figured i'd try and do something somewhat useful while you take care of the blanks" He continued to look at the text on the control mechanism for the lift.
the blank moved out of the way of samuel's blade but due to his experience he quickly changed the arc of his blade to make a solid hit on the spirit
Suddenly, a cold feeling ran up Lust's spine.
The last blank had set Samuel in an bad position to hit the next blank with his sword, so he takes a swing at it with his right arm while he adjusts his angle a bit.
The blank is destroyed by Samuel's blade, some blanks retreat through the wall's and floor's, they did not want to lose their existence, as pitiful as it was.
Samuel looks around quickly for any remaining blanks.
Samuel’s eye catches the whips of spirit as the last blank slips through the floor.
Rosaline joins milo at the lift, she hoped that there might be some visable opponents in the lower levels as watching Samuel swing his blade at thin air was dull.
the cold feeling began to subside as Lust when over to the lift, having felt a little embarrassed about the whole experience.
Samuel sheathed his sword as he went over to the lift. "the remaining blanks have retreated for the moment." he reported.
"Good, lets hope that they don't return," Milo said as he began to operate the lift. "I wonder..." milo said to himself.
As the Lift decended Rosaline watched as the library came into veiw...

All Samuel thought as he gazed upon it was that it may have once been a grand place in the past, but now it was the same as those that inhabit it, nothing but a ghost of it's former self. It didn't compare to the places he's seen, or the places he left behind.
