Milo raised an eyebrow at this, "Um... okay?". Milo took a chisel and hammer to the sword's blade, breaking it into smaller pieces.

"Oh yeah. it's real easy to..." Then Samuel stopped and looked at Milo. " you're not the least bit interesting in this, are you?"

"sorry, I'm trying though..." he smiled almost natural, before breaking the blade down a little more. He then started fit the blade back together loosely.

"Well, it's an improvement." Said Samuel who was not completely sure where to go from here. As he tried to think of something, he began to watch Milo's work intently.

Milo focused on the blade pressing it tightly together with his mind, as he selected a thin metal spike from the tools he had chosen for this project. He started to heat the flat of the blade so that he could carve into it easily.

Samuel admired Milo's craftsmanship. "You seem to know your way around a blade." he remarked.

Milo carefully carved symbols onto the flat of the blade close to the hilt. He started with a binding symbol, which was circular with lines stretching up wards. Milo extended the lines of the symbol so that they linked to all the shards of the blade. He then went to his Ritual book, and flipped to a page that he had bookmarked, the page was a scramble of strange letter like symbols, he ran his finger across the page and read each letter to himself quietly, paying close attention to the feeling off the sound.

Having finished her training, Lust quickly got bored again as she looked for any sign that they were getting close to their destination.

Milo began to combine the letters into words sellecting and eliminating sounds and meanings (note:milo is using a page in his boor devoted to Universal, a language used by spirits, the language focuses on vowel sounds: E-wind A-Fire U-Earth O-water I-Ether (self) and Y-Ether (Union of other elements). each vowel has sub-meanings and emotions tied to it). Milo decided on a word that sounded like "KAYophI" he said softly. (KA, roughly meaning Break, Y is used to join the two parts of the word, oph is used to mean healing/change, I at the end is ment to mean comand, conection, and wholeness) He carved the word into the blade, then closed his eyes and poured arcane energy into the blade and symbols. He stood still over the blade for several moments before opening his eyes again.

Rosaline steped up to the ship's wheel and turned it slightly to the left bringing the ship in line with a solitary shape on the aproaching desert. she slowly bagan to lower the ship by turning a dial. She began to prepare the ship for a safe landing, which was much harder to do on sand than it was to do onto water.

The image of the desert drawing closer was a beautiful sight to Lust, mostly because it meant an end to her boredom. but the sight truly was beautiful, almost as if it were a priceless oil painting. She leaned against a nearby wall, thinking of what was to come, only to realize that she didn't really know what was going on.
As Milo worked on the sword, Samuel tilted his head to the side and looked away, having heard a slight creek in the ship. "Ah, we must be getting close." he said with a relaxed tone.

Milo smiled, as he looked down on the broken blade, he stepped away from it and started off towards the upper deck.
Rosaline guided the ship down, she decreased the ships speed gradually as the ground got closer and closer. The hull of the boat gradually touched down into the sand.

~Auwain desert~
The sky is cloudless and the sun beats down cruelly on this vast desert, causing the small crystals in the sand to glitter. In the near distance there is a building standing alone in the emptiness, the archive of Noah.

The sparkle of the sand was a beautiful site, made only more magnificent by the clear sky. Even though there was no sign of a nearby town, Lust still found it to be a nice change from the seemingly endless ocean she had been looking at up until now.
Now that he was alone, Samuel had a moment to think to himself about this job. if the archive is as old as he believed, there may be some documents that were related to the Order, or more importantly, related to the war. Milo may be in charge of the mission and as such has first pick of what ever is in there, but if there was anything that mentioned what happened during the war, Samuel would have to get them before anyone else knew of them. what they contained may confirm some of the rumors he heard surrounding the war. After making this decision, Samuel got up, made sure he had everything, then headed up above with the others.

"almost forgot", Milo picked up the hilt of the blade "mend" he said commandingly, the blade's shards latched piece by piece onto the hilt, reforming into a whole. He put his book into his bag and tossed the bag over his shoulder, he went to the upper deck with samuel

Rosaline did a few checks here and there before jumping nimbly off the side of the ship into the sand. She darkened her skin and eyes to a light brown color her hair shifted to black, she did this to reduce the effect of the sun on her body. she adjusted the two roses that she kept in her jacket's lapel, and drew her spell gun Roulette and made sure it was in working order as she waited for the others

Samuel squinted a little as he stepped out into the sun. Apparently he had been down below a little too long. As his eyes adjusted, however, he noticed the change in Rosaline's appearance. "So," he remarked as he strides forward, "you really are one of them, aren't you?"

Rosaline smiled "One of them?" she said as she holstered Roulette. Very few people knew that she was a faceless, often she killed those that discovered her as that kind of information out in the open could kill an identity and she liked being Rosaline.

Milo put on his goggles, he muttered a few words and the goggle lenses darkened, blocking out the glare of the sun. He adjusted his pack on his shoulders and lowered himself off the side of the ship into the sand. His eyes locked on the dark shape in the near distance.

Samuel stopped as he neared Rosaline and raised his hand. "At ease, lady Rosaline," he said trying to prevent possible hostilities. "All I've heard about them are rumors, and sense rumors are rarely true, i feel it's best if i just claim that i was wrong in my assumptions. is that alright with you, Milady?"
Lust Quickly glances at Samuel before flexing her wings causing one of them to smack him in the head.
"What the?!" said a confused Samuel. "What was that for?!"
Lust looked away and scowled. "you idiot."

Rosaline laughed "it's fine if you know... as long as you don't tell anyone", she started to walk towards the lone building standing ahead of them. "My life practically depends on me making sure that as few people know what I am".
Milo walked through the sand after Rosaline.

With a quick flap of her wings, Lust hopped onto the sand, then turned and beckoned to Samuel. "hurry up, Sammy, or we'll get left behind!" she shouted before running off with the others.
Still a little baffled by what happened, Samuel simply shrugged it off before following the others.

The wind started to pick up a bit, blowing sand across the desert.
Milo pulled his goggles up over his eyes to protect them from the blowing sand. He began to push himself faster towards the archive.
Rosaline quickened her pace, from what she had heard sandstorms could be very dangerous. She made it to the steps leading into the Archive. she climbed the steps quickly and pushed open the heavy double doors that lead into the old stone building.

Noah's Archive:
This building is made of magically molded steel and obsidian, the floor of the entrance hall is marble. A mural is painted on the walls and ceiling of the hall. The mural depicts the angel Knowledge and the demon Curiosity reaching for the each other (their names are tattooed down their arms) (this kind of depiction is rare as when this building was built demons and angels were believed to be foes). there is a pulley operated lift in the center of the room, which appears to lead to the lower floors.

The mural peeks Samuel's interest as he entered, noticing what the mural depicted. As he moved over to examine the tattoos of the angel and then the demon, he asked Milo in a loud voice "Hey Milo! any idea who made this place?"
Lust just shook her head as she entered, trying to get the sand out. She too saw the mural, but noticing that it didn't depict angels and demons as enemies, just assumed it wasn't made by Humans and left it at that.
