Archives in the Shifting Sands
Before the war, the wisdom of core was gathered by a wise man named James Noah. The information was stored in the exact middle of the western desert. During the war there were many sand storms that shifted the foundation of the magnificent building causing the location of the great Archive to change.
Party:
Milo Hart, Rosaline, Samuel Flowen
Milo and Rosaline have sought information on the location of the Archive for a good deal of time. Rosaline, through her contacts has heard whispers of a ruin that matches the description of the building.

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo sat at his workbench, he was putting the last few touches on what looked like a suit of armor with runes carved all over it. He attached the final piece, and stood up to admire his work. He smiled and jotted a few things in his Ritual book.

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline walked briskly down the waterfront. Her hair was her favorite shade of red, her eyes were emerald, and her skin was slightly tanned, the features of here preferred persona. She headed up to Milo's address, and knocked on his door.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo looked up from his book. "One minute!", he finished the passage in the ritual book and walked to the door, he glanced out the window as he passed it. He unlocked the door. "Hello, Rosaline, what a pleasant surprise." He smiled, "please come in, we can talk in the library"

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline stepped inside, she walked to the library. A place where her and Milo have discussed, and planned expeditions to find many artifacts. She produced a chart of Core and placed it onto the long table in Milo's library.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo follows Rosaline to his library. "what have you found this time Rosaline?", he asked as he took a seat across from her. He glanced at the map, there were several points in the Western desert circled.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"I've found the location of the Archive", she paused, "My contact from Auwai sent me this letter"
Dear Rosaline,
Some travelers arrived in town today. They were frighted out of their wits, one of them was so disoriented they had forgotten their name. I got the chance to talk to the the calmest one. The man told me of a ruin that, from his description, matches the building you have been inquiring about. The map I have included has rough directions to get to the Ruin.

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo quickly scans the letter. He then took a good look at the map. "what a find, any hint as to what caused the fear in the travelers?", Milo asked. He looked at the map then started to select books from the shelves.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"No this was all I received", Rosaline watched as Milo pulled books off the shelves. "when with you be available to go on this expedition?" she asked, she traced her finger across the map.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"I am free to travel whenever I choose, Stone Heart has decided to let me travel freely, with minimum notice" Milo started to leaf through the pages of a tome quickly searching for a particular article, "let's see... amnesia... fear... ah here we are" he set the tome on the table, "there was a similar to this one, in Sia, their head librarian died violently fighting off book burners, the result was a powerful ghost bent on protecting the knowledge of the library"

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"I see, how inconvenient" Rosaline sighed, "I really can't stand the Order" she looked at Milo. "However, one of their exorcists is what we need for this job"
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"Actually if I remember correctly... i recently signed off on a prosthetic arm for an Exorcist who has broken off from the Order" Milo said "I believe he is currently living in Ilia". He looked at the map "Its only a small detour from the way to the western desert".
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"perfect, I will go prepare my ship for the expedition then", Rosaline stood up, rolled up her map and walked towards the library door "A pleasure as always Milo". Rosaline waved and made her way out. She stepped out onto the street, and walked down to the docks. She chatted with a few people along the way to her ship. Rosaline got onto her ship and started to do inventory on the ship's stores.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo followed Rosaline out of the Library and went back to his workshop. He picked up a few odds and ends off his work bench and added them into his Alchemist's Pack. He looked at the Golem body he had just created. He imagined the complex machine disassembling into an orderly pile. He raised his hand and focused his energy and mental power, making his thoughts reality. The machine rapidly disassembled into its hundreds of components. Milo carefully sorted the pieces and put them into secure pouches within the Alchemists Pack, he then slid his Ritual Book into the outermost pocket. After writing a brief notice letter to Stone Heart to explain his temporary absence Milo Put on his white leather coat, and slung the heavy Alchemist's pack over his shoulders and made his way to Rosaline's Air Ship, the Thorn.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline walked up the steps to the upper deck. This part of the ship was covered by a clear glass roof sported by ornate metal girders. In the middle of the sheltered area was a navigation table, which had a modest collection of maps tucked into individual slots beneath the table. She spread the map she had with her out on the table, she pinned it down and started to plot the course of the expedition, taking into account the detour to Ilia.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo boarded Rosaline's ship. He saw her on the upper deck so he went up to join her. He waited until she finished plotting the course before asking, "Are we ready to set out?"
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"Yes we are", Rosaline pulled a few levers and there was a soft hum as the magically charged crystals in the ship's horizontal masts formed what looked like translucent sails. She turned a crank labeled altitude and the ship started to rise out of the water. She pushed the throttle and the ship sailed forward, she then looked at the compass and steered the vessel on course to Ilia.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Milo left the upper deck and went below deck, he went to the small room that he often stayed in. The outer wall was dominated by a large circular window that overlooked the river far below. He placed his pack next to the bunk, which was places such that you could look out the window while laying in it. he then walked back onto the main deck and leaned on the rail as Ilia seemed to grow larger and larger in the distance.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline steered her ship expertly through the sky. She landed the boat gracefully into the water, and it floated next to one of the many docks of Ilia. She deactivated the Archalite with a quick adjustment of the levers, she flicked a final toggle and there was a loud clank as the anchor dropped.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Now that the boat had landed Milo jumped down off the deck onto the dock. He tied the boat to the dock and started counting out the money to cover the docking fee. He always payed half of the fee when he traveled with Rosaline. He cupped the money in his hand and he talked to a few passers by as he waited for Rosaline.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline put two roses in her jacket's lapel, on was black and the other was white. She tucked her wallet into her coat's inner pocket and Roulette into it's low slung holster. She got off the boat and joined Milo.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"here", Milo passed his half of the docking fee to Rosaline. He walked down to one of the gates that connected the ring of docks that spanned most of Ilia's shoreline to the inner city.
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline took the money and followed Milo to the gate "your docking fee?" the guard asked. Rosaline got her half of the money from her wallet and paid the guard. She continued past the gate, "so Milo where does this Exorcist of yours live?"
Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
"He's on the far side of the city", Milo headed for the city's transit system. He paid for a couple tickets and passed one to Rosaline. He slipped his ticked to the security golem and stepped onto the magic fueled train.

Re: Archives in the Shifting Sands
Rosaline slipped her ticket into a slot in the security golem and stepped into the train after Milo. The train started to move, the city sped past the windows. Rosaline took a seat next to a window.
